Kate Hudson Splits From Matt Bellamy & Reportedly Hooks Up With Derek Hough

Kate Hudson, Matt BellamyKate Hudson and Matt Bellamy have reportedly called off their engagement after more than four years and one kid together. They started dating in 2010 and got engaged when she was six months pregnant with their son Bingham Hawn Bellamy (now 3) in April 2011.

Multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that the pair has not only called it quits, but the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress has already moved on with friend and sometimes dance partner Derek Hough.

The 35-year-old Oscar-nominated actress, who is also mom to Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, has always remained coy on when the two would wed. She told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan last January, "No, I'm planning nothing right now. I'm so busy, we've been so busy and it's been great."

"I come from an unconventional family -- they're not married, my parents aren't married," she said, speaking of her mom Goldie Hawn and her longtime partner Kurt Russell, whom she refers to as dad, even though her biological father is Bill Hudson (he and Goldie split in 1980). "So there's a part of me that goes, if I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it right. And I'm going to take the time to really plan it right ... And it's a lot. Planning a wedding is a lot! I mean, I did a movie about planning a wedding and that was a lot, let alone actually planning a wedding! So, no. Not anytime soon, no."

Or maybe she just wasn't that into him after all. The last event they attended together was Hawn's Love In For Kids event in Los Angeles, on November 21. Hough was also apparently at the same event. Scandalous!

Witnesses say that Hudson and Hough were together just this past weekend, eating, drinking, and staying past closing at Nice Guy Restaurant in LA.

In a 2013 interview with Shape magazine, the Bride Wars actress said, "My heart is really in contemporary jazz, but lately I've been ballroom dancing with Derek Hough ... it's been a real blast."

Of course, it could just be a friend helping her through a difficult time. Only Kate and Matt know exactly what went down between them, and they're the only ones who need to know. Hopefully they'll be able to stay amicable for their son's sake.

Do you think not getting married is a sign a couple won't stay together?
