Hilary Duff Has to Be Creeped Out by Aaron Carter's Latest Move (PHOTO)

Hilary Duff, Aaron CarterAaron Carter seriously needs to let Hilary Duff go already. His latest weird, almost stalker-ish declaration of infatuation was to post a picture to Instagram of himself watching the episode of Lizzie McGuire that he guest starred in.

The title character of that Disney show was none other than Duff, and it put her on the map. The couple was "dating" in real life at the time (I put dating in quotes because they were 13 ...), and the episode was titled "Aaron Carter's Coming to Town." He played himself, and Lizzie had to sneak past security guards and wound up starring in his music video for "I Want Candy."

It was 2001. Fourteen years ago. Anyway. Here's what Aaron Instagrammed on Thursday, December 4:

"Merry Christmas, Lizzie McGuire." #IWantCandy #AaronCarter #Flashback I never actually watched this before

He also shared this little gem on Twitter at the same time:

Normally this might just be some sort of sentimental Throwback Thursday post, except for the fact that this isn't the first time Aaron has recently lamented The One Who Got Away.

The then-teens broke up in 2003, after rumors surfaced that he cheated on Hil with Lindsay Lohan. I know. So then Hilary grew up, married hockey hunk Mike Comrie, and had an adorable little son named Luca. Earlier this year, Hils and Mike announced they were separating, and Carter immediately tweeted, "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think."

About a month after that, he told Entertainment Tonight that he "absolutely" still loved Duff, and, "I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today, but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong."

OK ... we know you're bordering on creepy, Aaron! Duff eventually responded to his attention, by way of a BuzzFeed interview. "I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that ... I don't know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just ... Yeah, don’t know each other ... so ... yeah."

Move on, Aaron. It's getting creepy.

Do you think there's a snowball's chance in Hades that Hilary Duff will ever get back together with Aaron Carter?
