Since she released her SKIMS shapewear, Kim Kardashian's been getting a bit of backlash, and it doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon. People are sounding off about Kim's new waist trainer from the same line ... and let's just say not all the opinions are positive. Uh oh!

Kim showed off her waist trainer on Instagram, filling her fans in on her latest product.

"It just made me feel really snatched," Kim said of using a waist trainer after giving birth. "You could really wear this under anything because it's as smooth of a waist trainer as I've ever seen."

Obviously, we all approach weight -- whether it's right after giving birth or any other time in our lives -- in different ways. For Kim, getting her body in top shape as quickly as possible is important to her, and it's kinda her job.

But apparently, people weren't happy about this at all ... not that we didn't see this controversy coming.

It makes sense -- waist trainers, in general, don't seem like the most comfortable thing to wear ... and no one should feel pressure to look a certain way. But maybe, people who do like using this kind of thing are Kim's audience, not the people who aren't into it?

Well, yeah -- if we think about it as a corset, it's practically something out of a renaissance fair, and not in a good way.

We don't think Kim's trying to get women to hide anything necessarily -- she's just sharing what works for her!

The idea that women should look the way men want them to or fit one impossible beauty standard is definitely outdated, but maybe it's best if we keep doing what works for us individually? Some women can't live without their waist trainers, other think they're archaic. It's OK to disagree.

But fans who love Kim's SKIMS seem to be all about it, and Kim looks pumped about the launch, too.

Live and let live, people.

Kim's proud of her shapewear line and her waist trainer, and that's good for her!

As for us, we'll probably stay in our comfy T-shirts, because sometimes, even a bra is too much. But no shade to everyone who feels differently!
