Taylor Swift Ousted From Movie by Mega Star Who Is NOT a Fan

It's a good thing Taylor Swift knows how to shake it off because it appears Joni Mitchell is going to publicly hate, hate, hate on the idea of the younger singer playing her in a biopic on Mitchell, Carly Simon, and Carole King

The iconic musician told the Sunday Times:

I squelched that. I said to the producer, 'All you've got is a girl with high cheekbones.' It's just a lot of gossip, you don't have the great scenes.

Seems a little harsh, don't ya think?

Rumors began circulating in 2012 of Swift's interest in the role. By October of that year, the "Blank Space" singer said she was hopeful about the part but nothing had been confirmed.

The movie was to be based on Sheila Weller's book Girls Like Us. This would not have marked Swift's first venture onto the big screen. She appeared in 2010's Valentine's Day, voiced the character of Audrey in The Lorax opposite Zac Efron, and most recently appeared in the film adaptation of The Giver.

Given Swift's overwhelming musical success, one wouldn't think the idea of her portraying another musician would be met with such disdain, but to each her own.

Go ahead and shake it off, Taylor. We know you can do it.

Do you think Taylor Swift has a future career in film?
