Nicki Minaj's Shameful 'Only' Video Should Be Banned for 1 Horrifying Reason

Nicki MinajThere are innocent mistakes, and then there are shameless portrayals of Nazism. Like Nicki Minaj's latest music video "Only," which was immediately criticized for "glorifying Hitler" through it's heavy use of Nazi imagery after its release on Saturday.

The rapper took to Twitter on Tuesday, November 11, to apologize for the mistake and defend herself, but it barely scratches the surface of the awfulness of this lyric video. She may have apologized, but the fact that the video hasn't been pulled says volumes more about how she really feels about it.

Taking full responsibility should mean getting it taken down! I am all about free expression, even when it comes to extremely vulgar rap lyrics like the ones in "Only," which Minaj recorded with Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne. But when we start glorifying the Third Reich? Nein!

The animated clip features black and white imagery that closely resembles Adolf Hitler's Nazi propaganda. A cartoon Nicki Minaj rules over all as a dictator, and symbols that look eerily similar to swastikas flash across the screen.

Holocaust survivor Abraham H. Foxman, who is also the National director for the Anti-Defamation League, found the video "deeply disturbing and offensive." He told ABC News that it "disturbingly evokes Third Reich propaganda and constitutes a new low for pop culture's exploitation of Nazi symbolism," and is "insensitive to Holocaust survivors and a trivialization of that era."

In a video obtained by TMZ on Monday, Minaj again defends the video while winding her way through LAX. When asked if she would comment on the claims that the video is anti-Semitic, she responded, "No, this is my new Jewish boyfriend Alex. why the f*** would I do that. We did this together."

Oh well, if your boyfriend is Jewish, it's OK then. Or something.

Do you think Nicki Minaj should pull this video down?
