The Duggars Dish on Which Kid Will Marry Next

Three down, 16 to go. Not that there's any guarantee that all of the Duggar children will eventually get married, but in case you hadn't noticed, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are big on families, so it stands to reason that they'd love to see all of their 19 Kids and Counting brood happily settled with a spouse some day.

Josh Duggar tied the knot with Anna Duggar in 2008 and now have three children of their own, Mackynzie, Marcus, and Michael. Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard last June, and is now expecting Baby Boy Dilly, and of course Jessa Duggar walked down the aisle less than a week ago to become Mrs. Ben Seewald. Now the big question is -- which Duggar will be next to wed?

There are no reported courtships happening at the moment with the eldest remaining single Duggar children, but they recently talked about their prospects in that area. Contrary to Internet rumors, Jim Bob does not hand select his children's life mates, but he does have his suggestions, and of course the final approval.

More from The Stir: Jana Duggar Still Isn't Dating at 24: 10 Reasons Why

"I do not choose who my children marry," the patriarch recently told PEOPLE magazine. "Over the years, I have suggested guys to my daughters or we have had a lot of guys that approach us and are interested in this girl or that girl, but each of our girls have chosen their spouse on their own."

The mag caught up with the eldest single Duggar kids and got their takes on when they think they might be ready to settle down and start families of their own.

24-year-old John David and his twin sister Jana are unique in that they are the only ones who have both older and younger siblings who are married. They're also the eldest Duggar kids still living at home.

John David joked that he's "such an expert in love and marriage," and, "Maybe people will steal my advice since I know so much." However, that playful side may end up snagging him a bride. At Jill's wedding rehearsal, JD joked in his speech that he was taking applications for a future wife.

"It was a joke," he said. "But I hear that we started receiving applications like crazy. I don't know how many have come in and I haven't looked at any, but I hear there are a lot."

"Everybody is giving me advice about getting married," he continued. "It isn't a bad thing. I'm open to advice."

Jana is one of the biggest mysteries of the Duggar family, according to the Internet. Jim Bob said of his eldest daughter, "Jana is one of the prettiest girls in the world and one of the sweetest girls."So why the heck hasn't this girl be snatched up yet? Likely because she hasn't been swept off her feet yet.

Jim Bob continued, "There have been a lot of guys who have been interested in her, I have gone to hear about each one, and so far she hasn't felt that is the way the Lord is leading."

Jana admitted she's holding out for what her recently-married little sis found. "Ben and Jessa are so perfect for each other," she said. "They are a couple that is really made for one another ... I just think for me I am just waiting and we'll see. When God brings that one along it will be his timing."

Next in line of eligible Duggars is 20-year-old Jinger, who was Jessa's maid-of-honor last Saturday. Jinger is known for being a little less reserved than her other sisters, and more willing to wear her heart on her sleeve. She even admitted to losing it a couple times at the wedding.

"I definitely cried once or twice, a couple of different evenings thinking about Jessa leaving," she said. "It is a different season of life. Those special memories in the girls' room, us up chatting late at night, is one thing I think about and start tearing up."

Just like Jana, it seems that Jinger's single status isn't from a lack of interest from the gentlemen. "Jinger is just a dynamic girl that a lot of guys have been interested in," Jim Bob said. "But so far, she has not been interested in the guys."

19-year-old Joseph may seem too young to consider courting and marrying, at least until you consider that Ben Seewald is also only 19, and he's a Jim-Bob-approved husband now. In fact, he's been somewhat inspired by his new brother-in-law, who he calls a "hard worker" and "very focused."

"I enjoy getting to work with Ben doing a lot of maintenance and lawn care for my dad," Joseph said. "He's great."

He's been enjoying watching his elder siblings get married, and appreciating the process of it all.

"I definitely want to do the same route in courting and getting to know someone in the way my siblings have," he said. "Doing it that way, I believe that is the way that God intended it. I don't think God wants us to play around and go out with everyone, but to know for sure that is the one He has for you ... Sometimes, that takes time."

But how much time, and for whom? That's the question we all want to know! My money's on Jinger. She's always shared an extra special relationship with Jessa, and now that she's out fo the house, and Jana seems more than content to let things be for the moment, I'm willing to bet she's going to be spending time vetting some more guys in her quest to find The One.

Who do you think the next Duggar to get hitched will be?
