Sherri Shepherd's Ex Makes Outrageous Claim About Their Infant Son

Sherri Shepherd and Lamar Sally's very public divorce is one of the ugliest in celebrity history, but a new interview with Sally on Inside Edition takes their feud to an outrageous level.

During the sit-down with Inside Edition, Sally alleges that while he and Shepherd were searching for a surrogate to carry their baby they used extreme measures to find a woman who closely resembled the former View co-host.

More from The Stir: Sherri Shepherd Wants Nothing To Do With Her Baby

"She (Sherri) met her (the surrogate) a couple of times," he says. "We even used a facial recognition program so we could pick a person who looked sort of like Sherri."

Say what?

Facial recognition programs are the stuff sci-fi movies and procedural TV dramas are made of, so if what Sally is saying is true, it's kind of a crazy (and totally ego-driven) move by Shepherd.

For her part, Shepherd has declined to comment on Sally's statements.

This isn't the first time the former sitcom writer has unleashed his wrath in the media. He has been very vocal about Shepherd allegedly wanting nothing to do with the infant, Lamar Jr., who has a rare genetic disorder called G6PD Deficiency. Sally says he just wants her to step forward and be a part of their child's life ... and help with the medical bills.

"There's no amount of money to ease my worry about my son," he says. "If she would just do the right thing and we co-parent. That's all I want."

While she may not be pitching in with Lamar Jr the way Lamar Sr. may want, Shepherd has been keeping busy since she left The View. She can next be seen in the Chris Rock comedy Top Five and recently wrapped production on Ride Along 2 with Kevin Hart.

Do you think Sherri Shepherd's alleged use of facial recognition to find a surrogate mother is crazy or totally acceptable?
