Katherine Heigl Finally Explains Why No One Wants to Work With Her

Katherine Heigl is one of those actresses I wouldn't ordinarily think twice about. As far as her talent goes, she has some. Like lots of other stars, she makes a few enjoyable films and a few flops. Unfortunately, many of us know her best as the actress no other celeb wants to work with because, we hear, she's just so darn rude and difficult to get along with.

Ellen Pompeo, Kat's former co-star on Grey's Anatomy, accused her of thinking she could do better than the show and then failing miserably. Another "source" said she "questioned the script" constantly and annoyed the heck out of people with her wardrobe demands and by refusing to leave her trailer. Knocked Up co-star Seth Rogan and director Judd Apatow totally slammed her after she said her role in the film "paints women as shrews." In a nutshell: Haters are always hating big time on Katherine.

But we haven't really heard her side of things -- until now.

During a recent Facebook Q&A to support her new show State of Affairs, Katherine was forced to face the music when a fan asked her to 'fess up about the "rumors that your very rude." Instead of throwing shade or snapping at him, she had a pretty honest comeback:

"Yeah, I've heard those too ... honesty I don't think I am ... nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someones feelings and I would never, ever, actively do so on purpose. Of course just like any human being I've made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right."

Is it possible that Katherine is just one of those people -- and we all know them -- who sometimes puts her foot in her mouth and gets a bad rep because of it? Maybe she doesn't have a very good filter and, as a result, tells people when they look chubby in certain pants or admits to a film's costume designer that she doesn't like an outfit she has to wear on set.

The actress continued: "That doesn't mean I won't stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don't do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honesty I think every one of us is entitled to."

Well, shoot, her response now has me wondering if I haven't been giving Katherine the benefit of the doubt here. As Jennifer Garner recently reminded us, being a working actress in Hollywood is no picnic. Perhaps the behavior that others call "rude" is simply Katherine sticking to her guns and doing what she feels she has to as a strong woman.

Cue the reactions from Katherine's former co-stars ...

What do you think about Katherine's response to all of those "rude" rumors?
