Jessa Duggar & Ben Seewald Shock Guests With Kiss Decision At Wedding

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are officially married, guys! The 19 Kids and Counting star and her adorable hubby exchanged vows in front of nearly 1,000 people at the First Baptist Church in Arkansas yesterday. And, while they kept a ton of sweet traditions alive -- they wrote their own wedding vows and even saved their very first kiss until after they were pronounced husband and wife -- Jessa and Ben had one incredible surprise up their sleeves that shocked all of their guests.

At the moment when guests expected Jessa, 21, and Ben, 19, to share their first kiss, Pastor Mike Schadt faced the crowd and announced to them that the Seewald's wanted their first kiss to be totally private. As in, bride and groom are just going to saunter off into the next room and make out without all of these people staring at them.

But Jessa and Ben did something super cute, too. Instead of denying guests the pleasure of a "Duggar kiss," the pastor asked Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob to smooch in front of everyone!

Sure, it's an unusual move and one I've never seen, but I think it's incredibly romantic and proves this couple isn't interested in grabbing headlines -- they understand the importance of privacy in a relationship.

It sounds like there were tons of other thoughtful wedding details. Jessa and Ben poured two vases of sand into one, which symbolizes their unity as a couple. The bride wore a beautiful blush-colored gown adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls, while her bridesmaids and maid of honor and sister Jinger wore peach gowns.

In place of wedding cake -- which Jessa says she doesn't like -- the couple served guests ice cream sundaes and brownies. And -- I just love this -- as Ben and Jessa were carried off from the reception in a horse-drawn carriage, guests blew bubbles in the air to wish them well.

It truly sounds like a fairytale wedding to celebrate two people who seem completely in love. Wishing them all the best.

What do you think of Jessa and Ben's decision to kiss in private at their wedding?
