Kate Middleton Reportedly in Serious Danger at Parents' Bucklebury Home

Kate Middleton

As if she didn't already have enough stress in her life, what with the bouts of horrible morning sickness and trying to juggle holiday plans, now apparently Kate Middleton is in danger at her parents' Bucklebury estate.

Supposedly there is a royal protection squad camped out in front of the Middletons' pad, which goes above and beyond the normal security detail that usually watches over the royals.

And if there is any shred of truth to these claims, it's pretty darn scary, because the officers are reportedly concerned about terrorists possibly targeting Kate.

According to The Telegraph, a family got a flat tire near the Middleton home and were "surrounded by officers" who were carrying guns. Upon realizing the family was not a threat, they apparently put their weapons away and helped them change the tire, but still, the experience had to be a bit unnerving.

And while I'm sure the officers are erring on the side of caution, even so much as hearing the word "terrorists" in the same sentence as Kate Middleton is quite disturbing, to say the least.

Plus, the whole reason she left Kensington Palace in the first place was to get away from the pomp and circumstance of being a royal while she's feeling unwell. I'm sure it's not exactly comforting to look out the window and see armed guards at her parents' quiet, country estate.

Sigh. Poor Kate. She can't catch a break no matter how hard she tries these days.

Are you worried about Kate's safety?
