Teresa Giudice Admits Something Her Castmates Never Thought They Would Hear

teresa giudice, us weekly coverTeresa Giudice has been called a lot of things over the years: dumb, rude, selfish, cruel, and the list goes on and on. But we have a new adjective for her. In a candid interview with Us Weekly magazine, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star sounds incredibly mature. Yes, that's right - MATURE.

This entire legal debacle has certainly humbled Teresa and her husband Joe. Prior to pleading guilty last March, they refused to admit any wrongdoing. But today, they sound like completely different people.

I wish I could do everything differentlyin the new issue. But then again, maybe not, because this is a life lesson that I need to learn and will learn, and will teach my children for the rest of my life, just as Judge Salas told me she expected me to do.

Wow. I'm sure no one (especially the costars she has feuded with over the hears) ever thought she would say anything like that. No doubt her daughters Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5, are her main concern. But it's not just leaving them to serve a 15 month sentence that has her so worried. Clearly she wants to give them a good example. Admitting her guilt and showing some humility is certainly the first step. During the sentencing she said, "I speak as a wife, a mother, and a daughter. Today I am blessed but I am also humbled. I hear you and what you are saying, and it is time for me to wake up. I am more sorry than anyone will know."
It will be interesting to witness how Teresa continues to evolve in the weeks before she heads to prison and what she will be like once she emerges. I am sure Bravo cameras will be there at every step and we'll be on the edge of seats to see it.
Do you think Teresa has been genuinely humbled by this experience?
