New 'Magic Mike XXL' Cast Mates & Other Details Revealed (What a Tease!)

Magic Mike

And now for some breaking news about what is sure to be one of the biggest summer blockbusters of 2015 -- we have new details for Magic Mike XXL, the oh-so-subtly named sequel to the cinematic masterpiece of 2012, Magic Mike.

The only reason it has 6.1 out of 10 stars on is obviously because men rate movies too, and for some reason, they think they have a corner on receiving lap dances. Heh. They're all "liberated" when they want to get one, but ask if their girl wants one? Just saying.

Anyway, Channing Tatum's official Instagram account posted a picture of the ridiculously good-looking star, along with some casting news. It looks like we have lost Matthew McConaughey (moment of silence, please), but we've gained some interesting characters, to say the least.

Like I'm not really sure how Andie MacDowell fits in. Or Jada Pinkett Smith. Hmmm.

Breaking #MagicMikeXXL news -- the @MagicMikeMovie sequel hits theaters July 1, 2015 with a slew of new faces including @ElizabethBanks, @childishgambino, #AmberHeard, @AndieMacDowell, #JadaPinkettSmith and @MichaelStrahan! Filming is underway now with #ChanningTatum and most of the original cast you love. "LIKE" if you can't wait!

But it looks like we're getting that July 1, 2015 release date! Good, we're going to need something new to watch after Fifty Shades has been out a few months.

And for some reason, there's a plot to this one. I heard there was a plot in the first one too, I'm just not aware that I cared. Joe Manganiello stripping off a firefighter's uniform. That is all.

For those who care about things like a plotline, here's the official summary from Warner Brothers:

Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, "Magic Mike XXL" finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.

New moves? Sounds steamy.
