Sarah Michelle Gellar Admits Her Favorite On-Screen Kiss Was THAT One

Sarah Michelle GellarWho can forget the crazy girl-on-girl kiss in Cruel Intentions between Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair? The scene quickly became the most talked about in the 1999 dark drama about relationships at a wealthy prep school, and probably the most played on your high school boyfriend's VCR, if you count yourself a member of Gen Y.

Anyway, Sarah Michelle was chatting with Kyle and Jackie O on Australia's KIIS-FM on Thursday, October 23, when she was asked what her favorite on-screen smooch was. "That's easy!" she exclaimed, and admitted that it was one between Kathryn Merteuil (Gellar) and Cecile Caldwell (Blair).

We knew it. Gellar also said that she and Blair have remained friends through the years, and that she's a "fun, good girl" who is always "up for a good time."

In the infamous scene, Kathryn has taken the susceptible Cecile "under her wing," but is really just playing mind games with her because she's basically evil incarnate. She says she wants to teach Cecile how to properly kiss, so she commands, "Now, close your eyes and wet your lips."

"Are you for real?" Cecile asks, and what follows is 15 seconds of movie makeout history. It even won them the award for Best Kiss at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards.

When Gellar gave her acceptance speech, her future hubs Freddie Prinze Jr. was in the audience. "My mother's going to be so proud right now,"she said humorously. "I just want to thank Selma for my most rewarding on-screen kiss ever."

Not one to be outdone with the funny, Blair added, "I guess I should just thank Sarah for all those hours of practice."

Cruel Intentions was an instant cult classic, thanks in part to that kiss. It also starred Ryan Phillippe (Sebastian Valmont), Reese Witherspoon (Annette Hargrove), Joshua Jackson (Blaine Tuttle), and Sean Patrick Thomas (Ronald Clifford).

Gellar shared some of her other memorable kisses, like the ones on Buffy the Vampire Slayer with David Boreanaz (Angel and Buffy -- sigh), with Ryan Phillippe in I Know What You Did Last Summer, and of course with her main man Prinze Jr. in Scooby-Doo.

Can you believe we're still talking about that Cruel Intentions kiss 15 years later?
