Kate Middleton Cruelly Insulted By Camilla Parker-Bowles

Prince William Kate Middleton

Hmm. This very well might be nothing more than a vicious rumor, but unfortunately, it's not totally impossible to believe.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Camilla-Parker Bowles is criticizing Kate Middleton for canceling her Malta trip, because she doesn't believe the Duchess' morning sickness is anywhere near as bad as she says it is.

Apparently Camilla even thinks Kate is simply using the fact that she can't keep any food down as an excuse to be lazy and lounge around Kensington Palace in her jammies all day. (Or whatever royals wear to bed. How the hell should I know?)

Camilla supposedly thinks Kate needs to suck it up and get on with her royal duties despite the fact that she's running to the loo every five minutes. Surely her hyperemesis gravidarum isn't really all that bad.

Um, let's go ahead and assume for one second that this nasty rumor is true and that Camilla does think Kate is kind of a wuss for staying behind closed (bathroom) doors. If that's truly the case, then she ought to think back to the last time she had to contend with a bout of the stomach bug or even a bad hangover. (Oh come on, you know the royals booze it up from time to time.)

It's next to impossible to think about doing anything other than lie down on a cold bathroom floor with either one of those scenarios. Based on how extreme Kate's condition is, her feeling of unbearable nausea can probably be multiplied by about 100.

I'm sure she'd love nothing more than to hop on a plane and head to Malta to tend to her royal duties, so to assume she's using her pregnancy as an excuse to get out of making the trip is just preposterous.

Again, we can probably assume this rumor is not true. But if it is, even a little bit? I guess we should feel more sorry for Kate than ever for having the ultimate stepmother-in-law from hell.

Do you think Kate's morning sickness is as bad as the Palace is letting on?
