Kim Kardashian Defends Kanye West's Worst Behavior Yet

Kim KardashianOh, Kanye. We are used to your rants and raves. We've even become somewhat immune to them. But then you started in on handicapped people. Yeah, calling out a person in a wheelchair during your concert was a bit, shall we say, gauche? Even if you were just joking around (as some claim), the fact is the person in the wheelchair probably didn't feel like having every eye in the arena turn on him and thousands of people (millions if you count YouTube) go, "Oh, hey, that guy is in a wheelchair!" But now Kim Kardashian is coming to her husband's defense. Did you expect any less?

Following the "stand up" scandal, Kim posted on Instagram:

What an amazing Australian tour! Its frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media. Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings.

Oh, sigh, Kim. First off, the media didn't "twist" anything. It reported exactly what happened. So points off for you, Kim.

Secondly, Kanye is an adult and should defend himself.

BUT. This is Kim's husband. What else was she going to do? Of course she felt bad for Kanye. And yes, perhaps the media did take it all a bit too seriously. I mean, there are worse things a person can do. Perhaps Kanye's approach was insensitive, but hey, maybe the guy loved being noticed by Kanye.

The point is Kim is married to Kanye, and you've got to have your husband's back unless he does something that offends her moral code (and does anything?). Maybe in private Kim said, "Honey, that was uncalled for. Think before you speak." Maybe. I doubt it, but you never know.

In public, however, Kim needs to show a united front with her husband. That is what makes marriage what it is. When the world is looking askance at you over a mistake, your spouse is still looking at you with love and compassion. (Unless, like I said, it's something really bad.)

This particular episode didn't rise to the level of being so god awful that Kim should condemn her own husband, which would mean, essentially, the end of the marriage, 'cause you know Kanye ain't got no time for dat.

So Kim defended her hubby, and that's okay. For now.

But the time will come when he does something beyond outrageous and we'll see what happens then. 'Cause Kanye can't seem to help himself.

Do you think Kim was right?
