Sharon Osbourne's Shocking Confession About Her Love for Ozzy Is Terrifying (VIDEO)

There are things that you do for the man you love. Picking up his dirty socks is a good example (do those things multiply or what?). But this week on "Secret Week" on The Talk, co-host Sharon Osbourne revealed the very scary thing she once did to "prove her love" to her husband Ozzy Osbourne.

On Wednesday, the star confessed that when she was 27, she slit her wrists with a steak knife to "prove how much she loved her then-boyfriend."

Holy. Crap.

"I never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to have done such a thing [to] myself," she admitted. "I learned a great lesson from this."

Sharon talked about how in their early days, they'd spend a lot of time drinking and partying, and after one late night, around 4 in the morning, he asked her to prove her love to him because he was unsure if the relationship would last.

"I'll do anything for you," she reportedly told her wild boyfriend, who happened to be married with two children at the time. "I'd give my life for you," she said.

"Prove it," he said. Sharon made clear that this was her decision and did not attempt suicide -- she was just drunk and stupid and in love. She found a steak knife on a room service table and slashed her wrists.

Showing off her scars for the camera, she said, "Unfortunately for me, I kind of went too deep." When they couldn't get the bleeding to stop, they had to call an ambulance. "I got very sober, very quickly," she remembered.

After being taken to a psych ward and being put on lockdown, she realized what a scary mistake she had made. "These scars are a big embarrassment," she said. "The scars don't go away. They stay with you ... it's a reminder to us all."

She's lucky that she got that wakeup call without doing too much damage to herself! We're all young and stupid at some point, and when you add forbidden love and alcohol to the mix -- not to mention rock and roll -- very weird and potentially deadly things can happen.

And no man is worth that.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to "prove your love" to someone?
