Kate Middleton's Morning Sickness Has Major Consequences for Harry

As you probably know, Kate Middleton is pregnant with her second baby. The poor Duchess is again suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum -- acute morning sickness -- this time around, but fortunately, she hasn't been hospitalized, as she was with Prince George. The future Queen of England is being treated by doctors in the comfort of her own home at Kensington Palace. The Duchess apparently knew that severe morning sickness was a possibility again but, like a true sport, decided to "just get on with it."

Of course, being that she's a public figure (and a mom), it's hard for Kate to just sit back on her couch and sip ginger ale until she's feeling better. She's got things to do, engagements to attend. In fact, she has two big engagements coming up on her calendar: Her solo trip to Malta and Prince Harry's 30th birthday bash. Word on the street is there's a chance both may be canceled if the Duchess isn't on the mend by then.

Kate's two-day trip to Malta was set to be taking place on September 20 and 21, where she was slotted for 10 appearances total. Experts and inside sources are under the impression that the Duchess will wind up canceling the trip, due to her condition. "The likelihood is that Kate is not going to be up to the trip," an insider told Vanity Fair.

Then, there's Harry's much-talked about 30th birthday party that Kate was planning. The prince's birthday is only a few days away on September 15, and as of a few weeks ago, the Duchess, with the help of her sister, Pippa, was planning a fun bash, replete with sexy dancers, cocktails, and coasters with Harry's face emblazoned on them. No one has yet said that Harry's birthday party will be canceled because of his sister-in-law (in fact, odds are it won't), but Kate was supposed to be cooking the prince a birthday supper this weekend -- kind of doubtful that will happen.

Basically, whenever Kate decided to get pregnant again would be an "inconvenient" time. Again, she's a public figure with many functions to attend, so if it wasn't Malta and Prince Harry's birthday, it'd be something else. Hopefully, this go round won't be as intense as her last bout of morning sickness and she'll be on the mend soon.

Do you think Kate will have a boy or girl this time?
