Meghan Trainor & Jimmy Fallon Perform 'All About That Bass' to Perfection (VIDEO)

meghan trainorYou know that thing Jimmy Fallon does with The Roots on The Tonight Show where he picks the hot song of the moment and plays it on classroom instruments? It's brilliant. And I'm squealing like a 17-year-old that he picked Meghan Trainor to do this special rendition of her song All About That Bass.

I'm not even going to get into the fact that some people are all upset because Trainor is calling skinny girls "bitches" and thinks the tune is anti-feminist. Whatever. She's just playing. And we all know that even so-called skinny girls think they're fat, too. Body issues, people. We all have them. And so, without further delay, we must watch the fabulousness of Meghan, Jimmy, and The Roots doing THE song of the moment.

Oh Jimmy. This is such a perfect thing you do. And now the song is stuck in my head (again) -- though I am not complaining. And about those complainers ...

It's just a song. By a 20-year-old. Maybe Ariana Grande can do the skinny girl version of it. (Love her, too. Don't tell.) We all deserve to have a little (a lot) of pride in ourselves. I'm singing along even though I can fit into some size 2s and I'm old enough to be her mom.

Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top. That's the message we should take from it.

What do you think of the song?
