Kate Hudson Dispels Eating Disorder Rumors & Offers Some Good Advice

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson may have one gorgeous body, but she wants one thing to be made perfectly clear -- she did not get it by way of having an eating disorder. The Something Borrowed actress recently sat down for a cover interview for the October 2014 issue of U.K.'s Red magazine and said she wants to "promote body confidence" in young women.

"If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder," the 35-year-old actress said. "I won't have girls -- even if it is just one or two who care -- thinking that. Because it is a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite."

The mom of two famously gained 70 pounds with her first pregnancy and said she was able to still feel good about herself because she felt loved.

"I want girls to love themselves," she said. "I want them to feel good about who they are ... The thing is, I'm lucky because I was loved [during that time]. But I have seen so many young women who can't feel good about themselves because they just don't have that love."

And apparently she feels loved these days too, by rocker fiance Matthew Bellamy, although she's "not in a rush" to walk down the aisle anytime soon. "We are basically married," she said. "It's really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding."

The couple has been engaged since 2011, just three months before she gave birth to their son Bing. Kate also has a 10-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband and Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. She said this summer that if they do get around to tying the knot, it'll likely be for the kids.

Then again, she's already been married before and that didn't exactly work out, so maybe her perspective is a little different this time around. After all, look at her mom ... Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been happily unmarried together for more than three decades.

Do you think loving yourself is the key to good health and happy relationships?
