Sean Bean Accidentally Reveals Huge 'Game of Thrones' Spoiler (VIDEO)

There are some MAJOR Game of Thrones spoilers ahead. Like season 1 spoilers. If you've watched at least that far or know what happens, read on, my nerdy friend, read on. As most of you are well aware, the most shocking moment of season 1 was when Eddard Stark, played by Sean Bean, got his head chopped off. The typical "good guy" character and one of the most recognizable faces from the cast -- it had every fan going, "Did they really just do that?!?"

Well perhaps Bean is a little bit bitter about what happened now that the series has really taken off (season 4 just wrapped up and was the most-watched show in HBO history, taking over from The Sopranos). An interviewer mentioned that Bean may be able to come back because flashbacks will most likely be featured in season 5. And then Bean may have accidentally revealed a HUGE spoiler fans of the series have long been speculating about.

When speaking with Vulture, the interviewer asked Sean about Bran Stark potentially seeing his father again through visions at the Heart Tree. Bean's awesome response:

Oh, yeah, yeah! And I'm his father, so that would be great fun! Just to go back to that for a while, it would be such fun to do. It would be great! It would be bizarre, but it would be great! So I guess if they're going to do flashbacks, then yeah!

Then he kept going and may have said a major WHOOPS:

And that should happen, shouldn't it? I've definitely got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there. I'm obviously not Jon Snow's dad. And you need that to be revealed at some point, don't you? So Bran would kind of be the one having the flashback, and he would see Ned praying, right? And revealing those things?

Da hell?! Eddard, YOU'RE NOT JON SNOW'S DAD?!?

Fans who aren't super-into all the crazy theories that are floating around out there regarding Game of Thrones would be pretty shocked by this news. It's something that we loserly nerd fans have been talking about ever since book one was published, but to the casual viewer, this is a pretty big spoiler. Keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed about Jon's parentage in George R. R. Martin's published works either.

All we know for sure is that Eddard claims that Jon Snow is his bastard son. His wife Catelyn Stark believed him and treated Jon like crap. But considering how unlike Eddard this would have been, Jon's true parentage may not have been revealed yet, and Eddard has been watching over Jon all this time, making one last, heartbreaking promise he couldn't even tell his wife.

This video best illustrates this awesome theory. Watch the whole thing; it's well worth it:

Was your mind blown? Mine certainly was when I first heard this theory. But for Bean to essentially confirm it for us -- well, it may have been a huge my bad! moment on his part. Perhaps ol' Georgie had clued Sean in to some background about his character while they were filming in order for him to interact with Kit Harington, who plays Jon, and that's how Sean knows for sure. Either way, Jon has long been a noble fan favorite, and the next couple books have to be published soon so we can know the answers surrounding his mysterious background for sure. R + L = J FTW.

Do you think Sean Bean accidentally confirmed this fan theory? Is he Jon Snow's father?!
