Robin Thicke Hit by 'Paula' Where It Hurts Most

robin thickePoor Robin Thicke. He's having a really bad year. Not only did wife Paula Patton dump him amidst a cheating scandal, people have mercilessly poked fun at his attempts to win her back. Though, nothing could be as hurtful as the latest news about the singer. In fact, his ego is taking a huge beating.

His new CD Paula is tanking -- and tanking hard. His seventh album is an ode to his estranged wife and something he surely hoped would help win her back. But it's only sold a ridiculously low 25,000 copies. Just to put it in perspective, his smash Blurred Lines sold 177,000 copies in its first week.

So far, Patton has been unmoved by his many public pleas for her forgiveness-- and the fact that he's album is barely selling must be a particularly painful blow. We can only imagine how pitiful he is feeling. But wait, it gets worse for Thicke. The sales in the U.K. are even more  dreary. He only sold 530 copies.

Can't help but feel sorry for him. All of this can really crush a man's confidence. Though, many would say some serious karma is at play. He reportedly screwed up his marriage because of cheating. And feminist have lone hated that racy video filled with naked women for his 2013 hit Blurred Lines. I bet a lot of people would say he's getting exactly what he deserves.

Are you shocked that that album is doing so poorly?
