Angelina Jolie Slams Those Clueless Other Hollywood Moms

angelina jolie, brad pittAngelina Jolie is fast growing on me and in a very good way.

My newfound adoration has nothing to do with her amazing acting ability. I just love the way the upcoming star of Disney’s Maleficent recently hit back at those famous Hollywood mothers who claim that they’ve got it so tough when it comes to juggling the motherhood and career workload.

Just last month Gwyneth Paltrow said that moms with regular 9-5 jobs have it less challenging than her, as she sometimes needs to be on a film set for 14 hours a day for a few weeks at a time. Gwyneth’s quote caused a lot of ire and understandably so. Many called her clueless and out of touch with today’s society.

Addressing the whole debacle, Angelina says that well-to-do moms shouldn’t complain about how tough it is for them to find that certain balance in their lives when they have much more support than most single or working mothers out there.

In an interview with the New York Daily News, Angie says, “I actually feel that women in my position, when we have all at our disposal to help us, shouldn’t complain. Consider all the people who really struggle and don’t have the financial means, don’t have the support, and many people are single and raising children. That’s hard.”

With that statement, I just love how Angelina is so very honest when it comes to the reality of her life compared to that of regular moms. This seems to be like a very anti-Gwyneth Paltrow message.

Not only will a lot of people agree with Angelina’s statements, but I’m sure it’s going to help her build a new fan base with the mommy community, if she hasn’t done so already. It’s great that we finally have a celebrity mom who is honest and tells things the way they are, even with her means and position in Hollywood. Now if only other celebrity moms can follow suit (like Gwyneth and supermodel Gisele Bundchen), I’m sure we’ll be able to end the mommy wars once and for all.

I always knew Angelina Jolie was a great advocate for world peace ... or at least between moms!

Why do you think Angelina gets it but other famous moms don't?
