Kim Kardashian Offers Parenting Advice Because Now She's an Expert on That Too

Kim Kardashian, Kanye WestKim Kardashian is apparently just full of helpful advice these days. First she gave some relationship advice to her sister Khloe over her rumored relationship with rapper French Montana, because obviously she's an expert on dating rappers. Now a very pregnant Ciara has shared that the reality star has shared a ton of parenting advice with her, because Kim's obviously an expert on that now too.

And apparently Kim's all set to let her daughter North West be anything she wants to be, but with one particular, very Kardashian-esque requirement.

The close personal friend of Kim K's (remember when their significant others wrote a song about dipping their asses in gold?) shared that in addition to sharing her wisdom on "everything from breastfeeding to how a stroller works," the veteran mom gave a great piece of advice in allowing your kids to be who they're going to be. Kinda.

The singer explained her parenting philosophy with a tip she says she got from the soon-to-be Mrs. Kanye West. "I believe in allowing your child to be who they want to be -- as long as they want to be something great," she said.

What if their celebukids don't want to be great? What if they just want to be nice, normal people who pretend like their parents aren't famous for having major booty and a sex tape? What if greatness to their kids means something completely different to them? I think my life is pretty fantastic, but I bet Kim would turn her nose up at my pedantic daily grind of cramming a full-time job around parenting, chores, errands, and eating more than celery sticks carried around for me by my assistant.

The key to good parenting, I'm pretty sure, is to a) keep the kids alive, b) love them unconditionally, and c) let them be who they are even if their idea of great doesn't match with your own. Those last two go hand in hand, by the way. Unconditional love is loving someone exactly for who they are, great or not.

Do you think it's a good idea to pressure kids to be great?
