Miley Cyrus Finally Discharged From the Hospital After Being 'Hit Hard' by Drug

Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus has finally been released from the hospital! The 21-year-old was admitted over a week ago after a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics. Poor girl was given some Cephalexin for a sinus infection in Kansas City, and wound up stuck in a hospital bed for nine days. She even missed her favorite holiday, you guys. No, not Easter -- that other one that happened on 4/20.

Anyway, the 21-year-old star seems to be doing much better, as Us Weekly is reporting that she's finally been released from her prison hospital bed, and is ready to rejoin her Bangerz tour on its European leg.

Miley had to cancel a string of shows in the states, but have no fear, ticket holders! The shows have been rescheduled for August, and all tickets will be honored. Phew!

The singer was devastated to have to postpone her shows, and kept all of her Twitter follows updated with her misery. A couple days after she was chained to the bed with an IV, she tweeted, "can't quit crying ... i wanna go back on tour. im meant to be onstage performing for y'all.... not laying in a hospital bed."

She tweeted on the 18th, the day she was supposed to perform in Nashville, "sux seeing everyone havin fun in Nashville. My home town & the place I was looking the most forward to. Pissed off @ everything/everyone rn."

Then there was that tweet about it being the "wackest" 4/20 evah, and general pissed-offedness about NOT being stoned. Because apparently that's her favorite thing now aside from weird tattoos. Eh, to each their own, I guess.

A source confirmed that she's doing much better now, saying, "She had to get it all out of her system. It hit her hard."

It's possible that her reaction was so extreme because her body was already strained to begin with. Twerking is a workout, people. You trying working out hard onstage every night practically nekkid while smoking weed backstage. I mean, I've never done it, but I'm sure it's got to be taxing. And it's always harder to recover from things when your body is already worn out.

Then again, according to her official statement, her docs said recovery from a reaction like that could take up to a month, so maybe she's healthfully ahead of schedule?

Regardless, we're glad she's finally feeling better. Stay healthy, Miley!

Have you ever had an allergic reaction to a medication?
