Kate Middleton's St. Patrick's Day Plans Are Perfectly Predictable

kate middleton prince william st. patrick's day 2013Kate Middleton and Prince William's upcoming royal tour of Australia may be the talk of the town ... okay, world. But before they jet Down Under, they'll be partaking in another newsworthy event right at home in the U.K. At the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17 at Mons Barracks in Aldershot, the royal couple will visit the 1st Battalion Irish Guards.

According to a royal press release sent out today, the Duke of Cambridge will attend the parade as Colonel of the Regiment, while the Duchess of Cambridge will present the traditional sprigs of shamrocks to the Officers and Guardsmen of the Regiment. They will also watch 300 soldiers as they march onto the parade square at the base.

At the same event last year, Kate was five months pregnant and wore the same green Emilia Wickstead dress coat she had originally worn to the event in 2012. So chances are, she'll bust it out yet again, right? Or maybe start a new tradition with an equally lovely ensemble ...?

Either way, it sounds like it's setting up to be a notable day. Kate will undoubtedly enjoy the privilege of honoring the Officers and Guardsmen with the festive shamrocks again,  and we'll undoubtedly enjoy the privilege of noting whatever lovely, most likely lucky green outfit she opts to step out in!

What do you predict Kate will wear this St. Patty's?
