Kim Kardashian & Kanye West's Epic TV Engagement May Have Been Totally Fake

kim kanye proposalFor being featured on a reality show -- especially one that has been notoriously under fire for faking big, dramatic, turning points in the cast members' lives -- Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's cinematic engagement that took place at AT&T Park in San Francisco in October seemed genuine. Kim seemed genuinely stunned. But now Radar Online is reporting that the extravagant proposal could've easily been faked.

The proof? In the Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode "A Surprise Engagement Pt. 1," which aired February 8, Kim is seen wearing her engagement ring while putting away clothes for North ... This despite the engagement allegedly happening a WHOLE WEEK LATER! Whoa.

Another possibility: Poor editing that stitched footage from after the engagement into footage from before.

My guess is the latter ... But the possibility that Kanye actually proposed in a really quiet, private way and then Kris Jenner (or Kim or even Kim and Kanye jointly) orchestrated a TV-worthy popping of the question isn't that hard to believe. Especially considering how producer Russell Jay was forced to testify last year in a 165-page deposition that at least two scenes were "scripted, reshot, or edited" to make Kris Humphries look like the villain after Kim decided she wanted a divorce.

That said, I'd say the jury's still out on this new case of possible KUWTK fakery ...

What do you think -- does the engagement ring's appearance in the show prove the San Fran proposal was faked or was it just careless editing?
