Amanda Bynes Is Barely Recognizable in 1st Photos Out of Rehab

amanda bynesAmanda Bynes is baaack -- and it sounds like she's doing better than ever! Admist reports that she's planning to go to college to major in fashion design, the first post-rehab photos of the former actress have emerged, and believe it or not, she looks happier, healthier, and more NORMAL than she has in a really long time. Seriously! Gone are the wacky sweatsuits ... nary a jaw-dropping face piercing. No more wacky-ass, offensive tweets or lawn fires.

Instead, Amanda was spied alongside parents Lynn and Rick while taking a walk with their dogs in Thousand Oaks, California yesterday. In typical laidback Hollywood style, she sported a black leather jacket, white "Gangsta Love" sweatshirt, skinny jeans, sneakers, sunglasses, and a baseball cap. Looking so good!

Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery. Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day. ... Her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.

Awesome! Love it. And let's hope she can keep it up. For a while there, she really seemed like one of young Hollywood's brightest stars. Considering that her lawyer went on to mention Amanda's interest in "creating a clothing line," perhaps her future is more in fashion than acting -- like Jessica Simpson, per se? -- but either way, I'm sure she'd do well to launch a new chapter of her career. After all, she did it once -- back in 2007, she launched Dear by Amanda, at Steve and Barry's (RIP) -- so she could definitely do it again!

Are you happy to see Amanda looking healthier and happier? Do you think she can make it in the fashion world?
