Kate Middleton's Haters Can't Compete With Prince Charles Singing Her Praises

kate middleton volunteering scoutsKate Middleton may be beloved by fashionistas and royal watchers around the globe, but to some, she's not doing enough. I know, it's sorta crazy, but her charity work has been the target of some criticism and judgment. Which is why it's heartening to hear that Prince Charles has stepped up to the plate to sing his daughter-in-law's praises!

The heir to the throne spoke specifically to the Duchess' involvement as a Patron (and volunteer) of the Scout Association.

The Prince recently stated publicly:

I need hardly say that I am particularly delighted that my daughter-in-law has helped to swell the ranks of much-needed Scout volunteers, since enrolling many more adults as leaders is the greatest need for so many of our youth organizations.

Awesome! It doesn't seem like Charles makes a habit of coming out swinging for just anyone. He must be truly impressed with Kate's efforts and accomplishments -- as he should be!

Back in 2012, when she first got involved with the group, a spokesman for St. James's Palace said Kate "loved the idea of Scouting and working hands-on with children," and felt that the organization was well-suited to her own love of the outdoors. So it really comes as no surprise that she's managed to bolster it in such a short period of time!

More than 2,800 adults have signed up to volunteer since she joined. And she's also been actively involved with the group, meeting a troop for a day of outdoor adventures, including baking bread on an open fire in the snow when she was five months pregnant -- and a few weeks later, taking part in a ceremony honoring Scouts at Windsor Castle.

And since she's been an official member of the royal family, Kate's made strides with her work for not just the Scout Association, but various other charities like The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry (which focuses on the Armed Forces, Young People, and Conservation), Action on AddictionEast Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), The Art Room, and National Portrait Gallery.

Clearly, the Duchess is committed to a variety of causes -- and she's only just begun to make an impression in the world of philanthropy. Being that she's already winning pats on the back from the future King, the sky's the limit!

Are you surprised/impressed by Prince Charles giving Kate props?
