Stevie Nicks on 'American Horror Story: Coven' Will Be the REAL Witchy Woman

stevie nickesYou know how sometimes there's a "special guest star" on a TV show and you're like, "Really?! That person on that show?" Well, that's totally NOT the case with American Horror Story: Coven and their latest choice of special guest star -- Stevie Nicks!! How perfect is that?! Nicks is THE original witchy woman ("oh, witch-ay woman"), even if that's a song by The Eagles, not Fleetwood Mac. Nicks was twirling around onstage in diaphanous dresses long before spooky stuff like magic spells or vampires were pop-culture cool, and she always manages to put her stamp of approval on witch-related projects (maybe you don't remember her tune on the Practical Magic soundtrack, but I do!). Plus, Nicks was obviously a "huge inspiration" for Lily Rabe's character, Misty, who's "obsessed" with the singer.

So only one question remains ...

Who/what, exactly, will Stevie Nicks play on American Horror Story: Coven? The answer? Herself!! Yup, according to a "source," the AHS audience will see Nicks on screen when she "comes to meet her biggest fan. And maybe sing with her."

Dare to dream!! That would be ah-mazing. But even if Nicks doesn't end up singing in the show, she'll still be a majorly appropriate presence -- like, a stakes-upping presence, ya dig? I mean, AHS: Coven is even set in New Orleans, and as you no doubt are aware, Nicks wrote a song called "New Orleans," which is as witchy (witch-ay) as anything else she's ever done. A lyrical sampling:

I wanna get a room in New Orleans
I wanna sing in the streets of the French Quarter
I wanna dress up
I wanna wear beads
I wanna wear feathers and lace
I wanna brush by Anne Rice
And go down Bourbon Street

I see a sea of smiles
I see a haunted city reachin' out
I see hope in all their faces
Behind the mask of Mardi Gras
Where the good and the righteous walk
And the wicked as well

The wicked, indeed.

Are you excited to hear that Stevie Nicks will guest star on American Horror Story: Coven?
