Hysterical Wes Anderson Parody Is the Most Hipster Horror Movie Ever (VIDEO)

Wes AndersonHave you ever found yourself wondering what a horror movie directed by Wes Anderson might look like? *Sally Struthers voice* "Sure, we all do!" Well, the good folks at SNL have answered this question for us all, in the form of an AMAZING spoof trailer.

The Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders is a spot-on parody of Anderson's signature style, down to the yellow Futura fonts, quirky soundtrack, crazy-detailed sets, and the meta delight of seeing Ed Norton channeling Owen Wilson.

Even if you hate home invasion movies and Wes Anderson drives you up a (intricately papered, meticulously decorated) wall, you absolutely have to see this video.

SNL aired the clip during their Ed Norton-hosted episode this past weekend, and it's hard to say what I love most about it. Alec Baldwin as narrator? Noel Wells in pitch-perfect character as a vacant Gwyneth Paltrow? The stop-motion mouse? The stylish-yet-offbeat written communique between the murderers and the homeowners? The presence of nearly every iconic Anderson trope, including an old record player, a pair of binoculars, a protractor, a picture of Edith Piaf, and a tiny flag?

Actually, I think THIS was my favorite part:

Please enjoy the quirkiest, most precocious slasher promo in the history of horror movies:

If The Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders was a real movie, would you be like, YOU HAD ME AT WES ANDERSON? Or: DA FUH?
