Miley Cyrus Gets Viciously Slammed by Three Big Stars

Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus's tongue-wagging, foam finger-licking, twerkaholic routine at the MTV Music Video Awards certainly did not go unnoticed. Her then-fiance, Liam Hemsworth, noticed it. Her dad, Billy Ray, did. The public did. And, not surprisingly, fellow pop stars did. We know what everyone else thought of it. But what of the celebs? Well, apparently they didn't like it much more than Liam. Pink, Cher, and Elton John have all weighed in on Mileygate. So what did they have to say? It's pretty brutal to say the least, but something tells me Miley won't mind it one bit.

Cher reportedly told E! Online:

I don't give a s**t if she comes out naked. Just be better, do better. Maybe she's thrilled and delighted -- everyone's talking about it, and so, that's almost as good as it being great, you know. Especially kind of in this day and age. It doesn't make any difference if you're good. It just makes a difference if people are talking about it.

Pink minced no words, saying:

Am I into it? No, I think it's tacky. She's really freaking talented, she's beautiful, she can sing her ass off and to go up there and do that? She's cheating herself and she's cheating the rest of us.

And Elton John had this to say:

[She's a] meltdown waiting to happen. And she’s so young! But she’s got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?

Err, waiting to happen, Elton?

But Cher probably got it right when she said that Miley is most likely "thrilled and delighted" with the attention. She did, after all, tell her twerking victim Robin Thicke that they were going to "make history" with her performance. And she was right. When else would someone like Miley get legends like Cher and Elton John and genuine talent like Pink to talk about her?!

In all honesty, mostly what I remember about Miley's act was how off-key she was. And, yeah, the tongue. Couldn't miss that. I'm sure they saw it from the space station.

Do you think these celebs are right? Do you think Miley cares?
