Kate Middleton Looks Jaw-Droppingly Perfect at First Royal Event (PHOTO)

kate middletonNot that we ever thought she wouldn't, Kate Middleton stunned at her first royal event on Thursday. The Duchess of Cambridge accompanied Prince William to the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards at the Royal Society in London, and she chose to step out in a pale gold sequined gown by Jenny Packham; sky-high strappy platform heels; and hair that, in the right light, appeared to be more blinding than her dress. She looked -- and it's not often that I use this word -- exquisite.

(Oh, and for those of you wondering, the answer is no. This is not what most women anyone looks like less than two months after giving birth. Kate was clearly constructed by Russian scientists hoping to play a cruel joke on womankind. Russian scientists, 1; womankind, 0.)

I thoroughly appreciate the fact that Kate decided to go bold and in yo' face for this event. Her style typically is more on the understated side, so when she opts for something with such wow factor, it really does ... wow.

Shiny works on our girl Kate. Sparkly, too. And hey, maybe she'll throw the world for a loop and become more fancy after becoming a mom instead of less.

And then women everywhere will be clamoring to get their hands on gold lame hospital gowns for when they give birth.

How does Kate Middleton look: Flawless or flawless?
