paula deenShe looks as sweet as pie on all those book covers and TV appearances, but if a former employee is to be believed, Paula Deen is anything but. Claims of racist jokes and use of the N-word have been tossed around. It's unclear if all the allegations are true, but the once beloved culinary queen did admit to using that slur at least once in her life. That momentary lapse in judgement could mean ruin for Deen. Walmart, Target, and Home Depot will all stop distributing her products and the Food Network has dropped her show. Though, she's not the only star to suffer a fall from grace. Check out 6 other big stars whose big mouths have nearly put an end to their fame and fortune.

During a 2006 DUi arrest, Gibson made anti-Semetic comments to a Jewish cop. Never one to mince words, he shouted, "F*** Jews. The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." He apologized, of course, and then checked in an alcohol treatment program. But that wasn't the end of his scary, over-the-top behavior. He was later accused of being both physically and verbablly abusive to girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, who caught some of his rants on tape.

While doing stand-up at a comedy club, the former Seinfeld star yelled at four black audience members who were heckling him. The part that got him in trouble: "Shut up! Fifty years ago we's have you upside down with a f****** fork up you a**." Not only that, he used the N-word. He later apologized for the outburst during an appearance on David Letterman.

  • Charlie Sheen

Sheen had long been considered a notorious party boy, but his rep as a crazy man began with 2011 rants against Alcoholics Anonymous, his ex-wife, Thomas Jefferson and Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre. What followed were bizarre ramblings about "winning" and "tiger blood." The whole mess ultimately cost Sheen, then the highest paid star on TV, his job. He has since returned to the small tube with the FX series Anger Management.

During a comedy show, the 30 Rock star joked that he would stab his son to death if he talked in a "gay voice." Not surprisingly, this infuriated many fans and co-workers, include Tina Fey. He immediately issued a statement apologizing for the remark.

This is one comedian who doesn't know the meaning of the word inappropriate. After the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, he tweeted a series of awful jokes including, "I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now'" and "Japan is really advanced. They don't go to the beach. The beach comes to them."

  • Isaiah Washington

Washington made a homophobic slur about Grey's Anatomy castmate T.R. Knight during and argument with Patrick Dempsey. Though he eventually apologized and filmed an anti-hate speech PSA, he was fired from the show. Little has been seen of him since.
