Bringing LeAnn Rimes to ‘Real Housewives’ Is the Best & Worst Idea Bravo’s Ever Had

SLeAnn rimesounds like there may be a little cast mix-up for The Real Housewives of Beverly HillsNo, I'm not talking about Lisa Vanderpump or Brandi Glanville, although this rumor may make Brandi pretty heated. According to Radar Online, producers have approached LeAnn Rimes multiple times about joining the cast, and have been REALLY pressing her in recent weeks to give them an answer. They think that going on the show would be great for her, that she would be able to get her side of the story out to the world, and no longer be seen in a negative light.

LeAnn, well, she's not feeling it (THANK YOU LORD). A source tells RadarOnline that she "doesn't want the added drama in her life, that she has a flourishing music career, and that she just doesn't need to do a reality television show."

Let's state the obvious here: LeAnn committing to Real Housewives would be the dumbest choice she could make, ever. No one would benefit from it, not even Bravo.

I firmly believe that viewers can only handle so much drama. Throwing LeAnn into the mix would bring up so many issues between her and Brandi. Fighting about Eddie Cibrian. Fighting about LeAnn spending time with Brandi's kids. Fighting about every single thing that's been written about in the tabloids. So much fighting that after a while, viewers would get exhausted just praying for something good to happen.

Plus, LeAnn is first and foremost a singer. Yeah, she hasn't necessarily been a chart topping artist in the last few years -- but going onto Real Housewives would pretty much solidify that her hopes of being on top again are gone. No one with a successful career outside of Housewives goes on Housewives. Although I'm Team Brandi, LeAnn deserves better for herself than this.

Would you want to see LeAnn Rimes on Real Housewives? Do you think it would be a train wreck?
