John Mayer Should Stop Admitting He's a Jerk & Just Start Being a Good Guy

john mayerDo you guys remember when John Mayer was, like, famous for singing, or something? Yes, I believe at some point or another in the past he was a musician, even a quite successful one, if memory serves. But now all anyone knows him as is that tall guy who keeps slaying hot Hollywood chicks, and he'll be damned if you remember him otherwise. His latest attempt to remind everyone that he dated Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jessica Simpson is a CBS Sunday Morning interview in which he admits that he was "just a jerk" to all of them.

But wait, it's cool because he's now realized that you can't make everyone like you, and oh! By the way. Would you look at that. He's got one of those musical performances coming up.

He's recovering from vocal cord surgery (was it all the talking or the singing that hurt his throat?) and is ready to take the stage again (presumably of the musical kind?) for the first time in two years.

But first, he wants to talk about the ladies. Sigh.

Here's the thing. This I'm a jerk! I'm the worst! Woe is me! way of apologizing just becomes kind of selfish after a while. Dude. You screwed these girls over two years ago -- stop bringing it up, already! Talking about it, again, in the media, just opens old wounds that had already healed.

I'm mean, I don't want to speak for Jen or Jess or anything, but I'm pretty sure they're over whatever John Mayer did or didn't do to them.

I can't help but feel a little worried for Katy Perry, though. History has a way of repeating itself, even if part of that history was removed during surgery.

Do you think John Mayer will ever change?
