Courteney Cox Calls David Arquette Her 'Best Friend' -- No Wonder They Broke Up

courteney coxIt's cool if you can be friends with your ex, but I will say this: Most likely, it means your relationship was dead long before the two of you ever broke up. And, maybe, possibly, you guys should have never been together in the first place. I know it's controversial, but it's the truth. Clearly, the two of you were meant to be friends, as opposed to lovahs. I mean, how could you be all buddy-buddy with someone you once were deeply, madly, passionately in love with? The only way is if you're seriously over it; if you fell out of deep, mad, passionate love a long time ago. And, I hate to say it because I really liked them as a couple, but Courteney Cox and David Arquette clearly weren't in love for quite some time. How do I know this? Courteney recently told Ellen of David: "He's my best friend in the world."

Now that doesn't sound very sensual, now does it?

It's great that Courteney and David are having an acrimonious divorce for the sake of their adorable daughter, but at the end of the day, doesn't really sound like these two were hot and bothered over one another for quite some time. You know what they say about the opposite of love, right? It isn't hate (that's too close to love); it's total apathy. Seems like Courteney is pretty apathetic about her ex if she can say they're best friends so soon after a breakup.

Relationships don't always work out. That's just the way it is. It's happened to all of us. And sometimes, when you know things are wrong with your relationship, it's almost embarrassing; and you want to deny anything is wrong. Those are the relationships that wind up just slooooowly fizzling out. It isn't one incident in particular. It's just that, well, you're not into each other.

Sex isn't the main component of all relationships. Not in the slightest. But being hot for your partner is important. Otherwise, why not just be friends? Best friends. You know, like Courtney and David.

Did you ever have a relationship slowly fizzle out for no reason in particular?
