Tongue-Tied Elderly Couple Can't Say 'Buttery, Flaky Crust' & It's Hilarious (VIDEO)

blooper couple"Baked in a buttery, flaky crust." Can you say that? Could you say it while cameras are rolling? Could you say it while cameras are rolling for the trillionth time, because you've repeatedly biffed the line and your wife's about to smack you over the head with her purse? That's the scenario Sonja and Jack Palmer are facing while filming a commercial for Dysart’s Restaurant in Maine, and the results are so endearing -- and downright hilarious -- the video of their blooper reel has racked up over a million views and counting.

The couple, who are real-life Dysart’s customers who have been married for 53 years, have a FANTASTIC amount of trouble getting the line right in the video. The best part, though, is when Sonja, thoroughly fed up with Jack's efforts, tries to take over.

If you haven't already seen this clip, I insist you give it a view -- it just might make your whole day a little more awesome.

The Palmers clearly aren't experienced actors, they're a real couple who have been going to Dysart’s every day for 40 years (Jack: "..we just love it. The atmosphere is great and the people are the nicest you’ll ever meet"). The problem isn't with their sincere devotion to the restaurant, it's Jack's inability to describe a chicken pot pie as "baked in a buttery, flaky crust."

He struggles valiantly, but gets tongue-tied by "flaky" before inexplicably swapping in the word "crispy." "Jack," Sonja says, at the end of her rope. "FLAKY."

Of course, when it's Sonja's time to give the line a try, it doesn't … well, just watch this clip, and prepare to smile:

I could not love that more, I swear to god. Even better? Here's how Jack described his increasingly unsuccessful efforts:

Well, I was concentrating so hard! I’m a little hard of hearing. I mean, I’m 74 years old! It’s like I told Ric [the commercial director], I really only know how to say two words and that’s ‘yes dear’.

The good news is that the Palmers eventually nailed the line … or, judging by the final ad, Sonja nailed the line.

Did the Palmers' blooper video make you laugh?
