(Hey, it's definitely preferable to eating so much Christmas pudding and trifle that your stomach hurts, right?) That's why over the years, entertainers of all stripes have banded together to make us giggle with holiday humor galore.

Here, six of the funniest, most timeless, classic Christmas comedy clips ...

1. No matter how many years go by, this classic sketch from Saturday Night Live's hey day -- starring Dan Aykroyd as Irwin Mainway and Candice Bergen as the talk show host who is horrified by his dangerous holiday toys for kids -- will have you in stitches. (My fave has to be the "Bag O' Glass!")

2. Did you know that Britney Spears and Ellen Degeneres paired up to go Christmas caroling a while back? Yes, the result was as ridiculous as you can imagine, involving "song, dance, and vandalism!"

3. Last year, FunnyorDie.com added "Drunk History Christmas," to their web series, Drunk History. This seasonally-spirited viral vid stars Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, and Jim Carrey ... as Santa Claus. In other words, it's a total neo-classic.

4. This crazy clip from a Christmas special featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike Tyson, Danny DeVito, Randy Travis, Scott Hamilton, and lots o' kids may not have been intentionally hilarious, but it certainly manages to be anyway.

5. Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg's "Dick in a Box" (also starring Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, of course) is definitely another one of those can't-miss modern classics worth a watch every time the holiday season rolls around again.

6. Jack Black and Jason Segel's animated take on "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy" is a total "pretty freakin' awesome" giggle-fest.

What's your favorite funny classic Christmas comedy clip -- or movie?
