‘The Voice’s Emotional Tribute to Sandy Hook Victims Leaves Us Speechless (VIDEO)

The Voice tribute for Newtown shooting victimsSince the tragic events that happened in Newtown last Friday, everyone everywhere has been trying to reach out however they can. Students from far and wide are setting up donation pages, singers are writing touching songs, and last night on The Voice, they did something really special of their own.

The show opened with each of the four coaches, including Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, and Adam Levine, the show's top three contestants, former contestants, and host Carson Daly holding signs with the name and age of one victim of the Sandy Hook massacre as they performed Jeff Buckley's classic song, "Hallelujah." To be honest, the tribute had me crying within seconds.

Words can't do this justice. Grab the tissues, listen to Aguilera's amazing falsetto, and watch the video, here:

The second I realized what was on their signs was the second I lost it watching this. What a beautiful and seriously touching way to honor the victims. The candles, the arrangement, the way the entire thing was shot and performed ... everything was just perfect.

Two days ago Saturday Night Live did an equally chilling tribute. It humbles me to see such major avenues of pop culture taking a moment to honor Newtown. For that, I am genuinely grateful.

What do you think of The Voice tribute?
