'Game of Thrones' Season 3 Production Video Gives Sneak Peek at New Characters

Game of thrones season 3Is it March 31, 2013 yet? Every Game of Thrones fan has that date marked on their calendars in unprecedented anticipation for season 3 -- which is looking to be the best one yet. Now HBO has released a new production video just to whet fans' appetites a little bit more. And, of course, like most things HBO has done with this series ... it's really fantastic!

Not only do they show some old, familiar faces, new characters are seen for the first time as well. Quick shots of Jojen and Meera, the Queen of Thorns, even the army of the Unsullied ... winter is definitely coming, and it's gonna be a helluva long one waiting for this season to premiere!

Everything from the set design to the costumes, even the filming locations look bigger and better than ever. OMG, is it March yet?? Okay, enough chatting, read on for the (spoiler-free!) production video.

Even this two-minute sneak peek is enough to have all Game of Thrones fans geeking out across the Internet. Can't believe how much Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, is growing up! Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) is rocking that facial scar, and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is absolutely gorgeous per usual.

As those who've read A Storm of Swords knows (and you know how difficult it's been to hold your tongue about what's going to go down), this is the season to watch. Executive producer D.B. Weiss even says, "I always envisioned season 3 as sort of the place we needed to get. If we made it through season 3 and we could do season 3 right, then it would be all worthwhile."

Hell yeah, dude. It will be. At least it better be!

The excitement is building up and many fans will most likely explode before March 31. Let's hope HBO continues to put out more amazing behind-the-scenes production videos like this one out there to help carry us all over until next spring.

Are you going to watch Game of Thrones season 3? Think it'll be the best one yet?
