'Buffy' Creator Joss Whedon's Hilarious Mitt Romney 'Endorsement' Embraces a Zombie Apocalypse (VIDEO)

Joss WhedonDirector Joss Whedon is an unlikely supporter of Mitt Romney. The man who made Buffy the Vampire Slayer famous and directed The Avengers hardly seems like a poster child for the right wing in Hollywood. But his endorsement of Romney is genius, a veritable masterpiece.

In case you can't tell, I am being facetious about his "endorsement." Whedon, who just recently made Cabin in the Woods, the horror film to end all horror films, has reason to love Romney, though. And that reason? Two words: zombie apocalypse.

It's awesome. It's genius. It eviscerates Romney. See below:

If you aren't laughing at that, clearly you have no sense of humor. It's damn funny stuff.

But it's also truth. Part of what makes people love Whedon so much is the way he can blend supernatural and reality. Buffy was never better than when she was fighting zombies amidst mucho personal drama.

The reality is, Romney's policies DO set us back. They discount our brains and make us mindless machines who don't think or feel. And his attitude about the poor is even worse.

Like many hilarious things, it's funny because it's true. Whedon, in his perennial genius, hits the stake (haha) on the head with this one. And maybe when people stop laughing, they will see the sad truth in it.

Did this make you laugh?
