Taylor Swift Denies 'Kidnapping' Conor Kennedy Like a Love Sick Puppy

Hey all, did you hear about the latest Amber Alert?! It's for none other than Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Conor Kennedy! Er, yeah, yeah ... apparently Tays swooped in on her private jet and kidnapped her boyfriend, flying him to Nashville against his will. Alert, alert! Keep an eye out for a white Gulfsteam with a curly-haired teen boy clawing at the window while a red-lipped blonde woman cackles defiantly next to him! Er, seriously, folks, there was was some kind of weird rumor going around that Swift "kidnapped" her boyfriend. Since he's a lot bigger than she is, I kind of suspect this may not exactly be a true "kidnapping," but let's hear what Taylor has to say about it:

How did I kidnap him? You can’t kidnap a grown man! These are serious accusations, now! It’s an interesting way to spin something into a story.

Indeed, indeed. But maybe people get these ideas because Taylor is a bit, oh, how shall I say? Obsessive?!!! (And is 18-year-old Conor really a grown man?)

I mean, you don't ever hear about Reese Witherspoon kidnapping anyone. But when you hear it about Taylor you're like, Oh, that's absurd. Isn't it? Did she do that? You kind of wonder, because you just never quite know what a passionate girl like Taylor might do if she misses her boyfriend ever ever EVER so much.

Just listen to the way Taylor waxes on about love in Rolling Stone:

The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard. You have to forget about what everyone else thinks. It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritizing it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I’ll talk myself out of it ... I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them.

Love without rules? Us-against-the-world? Doesn't sound like someone who wouldn't kidnap her a grown (teenage) man.

I have to wonder about Taylor's insistence that she not "think too hard" about a relationship otherwise she'll talk herself out of it. Not thinking and not having rules rarely leads to much good. But at 22, Taylor still has a lot of time to learn that lesson. Plus, falling fast and hard and not thinking has made her a multimillionaire songstress who puts all of that unthinking angst into number one hits. But being crazy in love can sometimes just make you seem, well, crazy. Especially to your partner.

As for "kidnapping" Conor, I dunno. But that Amber Alert about Jackie Kennedy's wardrobe? Now that one I'd believe.

Do you think Taylor is too obsessed with love?
