Kourtney Kardashian's Slimming Shirt-Dress Should Be in Every Mom’s Closet (PHOTO)

Kourtney KardashianIn the first couple months after having a baby, it can be so disheartening to venture into your closet only to find you're pretty much out of luck as far as clothes that actually fit. But after seeing Kourtney Kardashian's adorable blue shirt-dress she wore out for a stroll with baby Penelope in Miami, it's obvious that she has figured out the secret to looking amazing while she's transitioning from maternity wear to her pre-baby clothes.

She managed to look not only put together and stylish (a huge accomplishment for any mom), she also looks relaxed and comfortable. Aren't you loving this look on her? And aside from being slimming, that dress is just so fun and chic.

And I guess I can't ooh and aah over the dress without mentioning the belt, because it really made the whole outfit. Accessorizing with a thick belt makes Kourtney's waist appear much smaller than it is, and it also dressed up what could have potentially been a fairly boring look otherwise.

Yet another perk of this particular frock is that it buttons in the front, which makes breastfeeding that much easier. This dress is definitely new mom friendly, but honestly, it's such a great staple piece for any mom to have in her wardrobe -- especially for moms who tend to fall into the jeans and yoga pants rut.

And considering Kourtney is currently in Miami filming scenes for her reality show, choosing dresses in lieu of pants or other confining outfits makes it much easier to deal with tropical temperatures.

But how in the heck was she able to walk in those heels?!? Flip-flops probably would've been a whole lot friendlier to her poor feet.

Do you own a shirt-dress? Do you want one after seeing Kourtney's?
