Kristen Stewart May Be Spending Time on Someone's Couch & It's Not Rob’s

Another day, another rumor about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Supposedly they've already had a "dramatic makeup" (horizontally, I'm guessin'). And they're "working on things" (horizontally, I'm guessin'). But let's play catch-up with the very, very latest rumor. A supposed friend of Kristen has told OK! magazine that the break-up so devastated KStew that she's been in therapy about it. Quoth FOK (Friend of Kristen):

This is far and away the most devastating thing that’s ever happened to her. She’s getting counseling, but she feels like the only thing that would make her happy would be if Rob would take her back.

Woah, woah, woooooah!!! Hold eeeeverything. Therapy is a great idea, and surely it can't hurt Kristen's state of mind to get on that couch aysap. But getting Rob back is the ONLY thing that would make her happy? Guess she needs therapy more than we thought!

First off, therapy isn't for figuring out how to get someone back. It's for figuring how to get yourself back. Let's all recap her teary confession when news of her affair with married director Rupert Sanders broke out:

I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.

If KStew loved Rob as much as she's saying, and she STILL cheated, then she did it for a reason. One she probably wasn't consciously aware of. Sometimes people do cheat just because we humans are carnal creatures and an opportunity presents itself and our bodies override our brains. But I'd buy that theory more if KStew cheated with, say, some hot hunk of a co-star who was her own age. Instead, she went for a married man twice her age who had kids. And she did it in public! So there was something more going on here.

More from The Stir: Kristen Stewart Finally Feels Guilty About the Right Thing

Maybe subconsciously she wanted to sabotage her relationship. Maybe she was fearful because it was moving too fast. Maybe she wanted to test his love, to see if he'd stick around after something like this. Maybe she didn't trust him, and this was payback. Maybe she grew up with infidelity around her and it's learned behavior. Maybe she has daddy issues?

But until she gets to the bottom of it, hopefully in therapy, she's liable to do it again, because those subconscious forces will keep dictating her behavior. On second thought, just read this, Kristen. I'll bill you later.

But therapy isn't about getting another person to make you happy. In fact, no outside force can be responsible for your personal happiness. People can make you happier. But as for happiness -- that's all up to you.

Do you think Kristen needs therapy?
