Kanye West’s Birthday Plans for Kim Kardashian Are Super Sweet

Kanye's got what planned? Gasp!
I know I don't have to tell you, but Kim Kardashian's birthday is coming up. The reality star will turn 32 on October 21, and good god, what are we going to do to celebrate. While we narrow down some ways to ring in Kim's new year (a cake with her face on it? leather pants? pin the tale on Kris Humphries?), we'll just have to live vicariously through Kanye West's rumored plans for Kim's big day. Apparently, Yeezy is going to spend a million bucks on a birthday party for his girlfriend. That's right, one miiiiiiiiillion dollars.

Sounds about right.

I mean, doesn't it sound like something he would do? It's over the top, it's extravagant, it's completely unnecessary, and I'm loving every second of it.

U.K. tabloid The Sun reports that Kanye plans to fly her friends and family down to Pine Cay, a private island in the Caribbean near Turks and Caicos, where they'll stay at a hotel with a five-star private chef, naturally. Kanye's also planning on giving Kim a Prada bag with her initials engraved on it, a pink diamond bracelet, and a Chanel dress.

Listen, I'm not the biggest Kimye fan, but I think what he's doing for her birthday is really sweet. I love that he's doing something thoughtful and unselfish for her -- I'm sure he'd love to spend some time alone with Kim, but he's flying down her loved ones because that's what she (probably) wants. The material gifts also sound right up Kim's alley; girl loves her designers and her diamonds!

We only get one birthday a year, and no one wants to feel forgotten by their significant other on their one day to feel special. Kanye wants to show Kim he loves her a lot, like, a million times a lot, and since he's got the money and the resources, I think it's nice what he's doing.

Shoot, if my boyfriend flew my friends down to a private island to celebrate my birthday, then gave me a Chanel dress? I can't lie, I'd be pretty damn psyched.

Do you think over-the-top birthday gifts are too much, or just right?
