Stephanie Seymour Getting Choked on 'Vogue' Is Sexy Not Scandalous

There's a huge uproar in the fashion world right now due to a black and white photograph of supermodel Stephanie Seymour and hottie-to-trottie male model Marlon Teixeira. These two digustingly gorgeous specimans appear on the cover of International Men's Vogue in what many women's groups are saying is a glorification of domestic violence. That, in fact, Marlon appears to be choking Stephanie. And you cannot have men choking women on the cover of fashion magazines! Ooh la la, mes amis. Get a grip. No pun intended.

As you can see in the photo, Marlon has his hand wrapped around Stephanie's neck and he's licking his finger. She really does not appear frightened by this encounter. Nor does he appear angry. In fact, they look like they're having just a sexy old time!

Can we get real here for a moment, people? It's hot when a guy touches your neck. It's hot when he even wraps his hand around your neck a wee bit and whispers something scandalous in your ear and licks his finger. Especially if he looks like Marlon.

I don't like it when violence and disrespect for women permeates the culture. It's a thin line between Kanye West rapping about his "Perfect Bitch" Kim Kardashian and a teen girl being called a "bitch" by her boyfriend, who thinks this is a term of endearment. Hey, Kanye said it first, mom! But this is ridiculous. Listen to these groups:

Choking is not a fashion statement, and certainly not something that should be used to sell magazines. This truly disturbing image of a woman being choked sends a dangerous message to anyone who sees this magazine -- that choking is a sign of passion rather than of violence.

Oh, good lord. This is like saying a photo of a guy's hand on a woman's cheek is glorifying slapping. There's slapping and then there's rubbing. There's choking and then there's ... whatever he's doing. It's not choking.

There is plenty of sick stuff out there for women's groups to be outraged about. Like child porn. Like extreme bondage porn. Like torture porn. Are women's groups protesting Fifty Shades of Grey? I'm gonna guess Christian wraps his paws around Anastasia's neck at least once, no?

But a hot guy rubbing a hot woman's neck? Plus, how great is it to have a 44-year-old mother of three on the cover of Vogue instead of a 10-year-old? We should applauding this cover not howling over it.

Do you think this photo glamorizes violence against women?
