LL Cool J Takes Down Home Intruder Because Mama Said Knock You OUT

LL Cool JIf you're going to break into a celebrity's home, you might want to make sure it doesn't belong to LL Cool J. As it turns out, LL Cool J's butt has plenty of cash for the checks his mouth was writing when he rapped that he was gonna tie you up and let you understand / that I'm not your average man -- because early this morning he encountered a burglary suspect in his home and instantly went toe-to-toe with the guy.

I don't know if he was tapping into his NCIS: Los Angeles persona or what, but LL Cool J (real name: James Todd Smith) not only busted the burglar before the guy had a chance to steal anything, he held the suspect until cops showed up to take him into custody.

God, please say he yelled, "I'm the best takin' out all rookies / So forget Oreos eat Cool J cookies!" in the guy's face when he took him down. I WANT TO BELIEVE.

Apparently the prowler entered LL Cool J's house in the early hours after midnight, and made enough noise in the kitchen that LL headed downstairs to see what was going on. That's what led to what police are describing as a "brief physical confrontation between the two," which reportedly resulted in the would-be robber suffering a broken nose and jaw. LL Cool J was holding the suspect when police arrived around 1 a.m.

Well, Mr. Burglar, that's what happens when you sneak into the home of a 42-year-old actor/rapper who's INSANELY fit. I mean, have you seen LL's abs? The dude's fitness routine involves heavy bag workouts and running up hills with a weighted vest, for crying out loud.

LL's spokesman has issued a statement about the incident, saying,

LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern. As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter.

You're damn right he's committed to keeping his family safe. By puttin suckas in fear.

Are you at all surprised to hear about LL Cool J's home heroics?
