Kate Middleton Tops 'Vanity Fair' Best-Dressed List but This Celeb Is Snubbed

kate middletonWe all think that Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge was the best dressed woman in the world, but Vanity Fair has now made it official. The magazine put Kate Middleton at the top of their annual International Best Dressed List, and even though Kate doesn't do interviews nor pose for photo shoots, VF was able to get Kate's friends to dish on the royal couple, and the mag was even able to sling together a successful cover shot of H.R.H. (Note to Marie Claire South Africa, this is how a finagled Kate cover is done.)

No one can really disagree with their number one selection -- as if anyone could compete with this look, or this or this or this. But there is one very stylish person I think VF left off the list.

Emma Stone. Hello, this woman looked stunning all year. From her 2012 Oscars look to her Golden Globes dress to her SAG outfit to her casual People's Choice Awards ensemble, the girl has enviable style almost every time she was photographed. Emma's been combining trend with classic and it's working. I fell in love with her keen fashion sense when I saw her, for the first time, at the 2011 Golden Globes in that to-die-for peach Calvin Klein dress. It was perfection.

Although I'm not thrilled Emma didn't make the cut, I am, on the other hand, very pleased that Diane Kruger was included on the best dressed list. Her Critics' Choice Award number was flawless, same with her Cannes selection. Diane can do no wrong in my book; glad to see VF feels the same way.

You can find the rest of VF's best dressed peeps here, but all you really need to know is that Kate's number one, Diane Kruger got the credit she deserves, and Emma Stone was snubbed. The end.

Think Emma Stone should've been on the VF best dressed list?
