Lindsay Lohan Parties After 'Exhaustion' Collapse Because Of Course She Did

You guys, I am so sick of hearing about Lindsay Lohan, but she keeps ending up in the news and I oscillate between feeling sorry for her and wanting to bludgeon some sense into her with a sawed-off table leg and I know, I know: here I am talking about Lindsay Goddamn Lohan again.

So just to catch you up on the latest Lindsay Drama that's gone down in the last few weeks, first she got sued for not paying a $40,000 tanning bill, then she crashed a Porsche into a truck, then she was checked by paramedics for "exhaustion and dehydration" after no one could wake her up from a "nap" on the set of her Lifetime flick Liz & Dick.

Luckily for the producers and insurance providers who took a gamble on her for the Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton biopic, Lohan's obviously taking her work and reputation VERY seriously. You can tell because she was out partying in Hollywood until 1 a.m. the day after her "exhaustion" collapse.

According to reports, just hours after her exhaustion drama on Friday (which Lohan attributed to "working 85 hours in 4 days, and being up all night shooting"), she was out at the L.A. hotspot Chateau Marmont on Saturday, hobnobbing with celebs until the wee hours of the morning.

I have to give Lohan points for creativity -- just when I think she can't possibly make her situation worse, she does. I mean, why go out the day after every tabloid in town has feverishly printed articles about your EXHAUSTION and DEHYDRATION?

(And why, for the LOVE, can't they come up with a better excuse? Here, I can EASILY come up with a list of things that don't immediately sound like code for "passed out after doing seventy-five rails of coke off a hooker's ass crack": stomach flu, migraine, family emergency, high fever, allergic reaction, narcolepsy.)

As for Lohan's rep, she says her client is just a normal working girl, grabbing a bite to eat after a long shift in the Hollywood coal mines:

Lindsay had been working the night shift the last 2 or 3 nights so it's quite reasonable that she was up and having dinner at 1 am. She's working a shift from 8 pm to 9 am. It takes her body a day or two to adjust back from that timing. At 7:30 am on Monday morning, she was in the car and on her way to the set by 8 am.

Right. Lindsay was just adjusting from working graveyard and had no other food options. Sure.

(By the way, isn't it weird how actresses like Noomi Rapace, who throw themselves full-bore into legitimately taxing roles with hardcore physical and emotional demands, manage to get their work done without any of this sort of drama?)

What's really sad about Lohan's ongoing craziness is that it sure seems like she's digging her own grave for whatever career options she had left. Casting directors, producers, and anyone in charge of making sure the talent doesn't screw up the profit margins are surely following this and putting yet another black mark next to Lindsay Lohan's name. Maybe she'll earn some decent reviews for playing Elizabeth Taylor, who knows, but most entertainment industry execs have to be viewing her as a risk they're not willing to take.

Does anything surprise you about Lindsay Lohan anymore?
