Whitney Houston's Final Song With Jordin Sparks Is Bittersweet (LISTEN)

whitney houstonWe haven't heard the last from Whitney Houston. The singer's final song, "Celebrate," a duet with Jordin Sparks for their film Sparkle, recently made its debut on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

It's classic Whitney, so die-hard fans won't be disappointed. Like her Grammy-winning pop from the '80s, this one celebrates life, love, and finding joy. It is the perfect showcase of a bold and beautiful voice that was snuffed out way to soon. Listen here:

The track will also be up for sale on iTunes June 5. It's just a teaser to the film that Houston so desperately hoped would be her big comeback. Though, it looks like it won't be the diva's final bow.

The sad truth is, in death stars become even more rich and famous these days. That tragedy is too often milked to push CDs or movie ticket sales. Michael Jackson's estate has earned a half billion dollars since he died. Now his brothers are considering resurrecting the King of Pop with a hologram for a concert tour. That's just disrespectful and more than a little bit gross.

It seems Whitney will live on through a new reality tv show. Her brother, sister-in-law, and daughter Bobbi Kristina will put their lives -- and grief -- on display in Lifetimes's The Houston Family Chronicles. But I have to ask, is this really the best way to honor her memory?

What do you think of Houston's final song?
